Alward Construction enjoys collaborating with both professionals and homeowners. They worked on an Oakland Monterey ranch house with architect Jerri Holan and the homeowner, glass artist John Lewis. Lewis and the team incorporated his craft into the project. The 42" wide front door and sidelights have one-and-a-half-inch-thick sculpted glass insets. Light fixtures and fenestration fabricated from studio-cast glass unify the design, and glass countertops finish the modernized kitchen.
