The hilltop Piedmont property started as three hunting cabins built in 1905. Over the years, homeowners remodeled and added to them. The current residents wanted to upgrade while expanding vertically. Alward replaced the terrazzo floor with hardwood in the open-plan great room. They echoed the architectural details of the paned windows and paneled walls on the two new upper levels. Bathrooms received a total makeover.
